Just some weapon concepts i threw together while listening to some RJD2. I envisioned a kind of crystal that was somehow resistant to energy. Meaning you could move it, but only slowly... it could move directionally across its "grain" but not in the other direction. For example if you had a shard, it could only be swung in the direction of the break's axis and not perpendicular to it. Maybe its the hardest material known, you cant even sharpen or form it. It can only be chipped by another piece... kinda like diamond except more intense and extreme. What if it glowed a really intense color and defied gravity?

Weapons made from this crystal would last many generations, the weapon always outlasting the owner so it was passed down from generation to generation, being so formidable it could never be used for another purpose they exchanged hands, looted from defeated opponents or passed on from master to pupil such that they shaped the destinies of those that carried them cuz they could not be shaped themselves... Something about weapons that look broken appeal to me. Broken swords, snapped arrows, battered shields really inspire me for some reason.

On the left is some kinda sword, something to back up that gangsta lean. The mace on the right would be an example of how the weapons are formed around the crystal, a battered shard with the fragments suspended in the air around it lending it a cutting edge as well as a bludgeoning mass. The shield in the middle would be something that an army would be based around. Perhaps it is prominently displayed on the lord's heraldry or a stylized version is tattooed on their shoulders as a mark of their service. I could see it being something men would die for cuz it could be used to shape destinies... ya know, the stuff legends are made of.
